Getting Started with the Library’s New Search Tool | EBSCO Discovery Service
The library’s new search tool, EBSCO Discovery Service, allows users to search and discover the majority of WVU Libraries’ collection resources using a single search field. Come learn how to use and personalize your access to resources.

West Virginia State Law Research
In this workshop, participants will learn how to locate and use resources for current and historical West Virginia legislation. In addition to resources for bills and statutes, users will also receive an introduction to finding supporting documents, including current and historical legislative histories, hearings, documents, and printouts.

Introduction to US Census Data
Participants will be introduced to the various US Bureau of Census surveys and how to access demographic data available from surveys using the data platform, censum.data.gov. Additionally, participants will learn how to use the library’s GIS tool, Social Explorer, for demographic mapping and IPUMS to retrieve micro-sample data samples for public use.

Participants will also need to bring their own laptop to the workshop.
