Light ENT is seeking volunteers for the ENLIGHTEN I Phase 3 clinical research study in chronic rhinosinusitis

BOYNTON BEACH, Florida., August 2, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Light ENT is seeking volunteers for the Phase 3 ENLIGHTEN I clinical research study. This research study is evaluating an investigational product as a potential new treatment for chronic rhinosinusitis. The goal of the study is to provide an alternative treatment for CRS other than sinus surgery. dr. Light of JoshuaMD, a dual board-certified otolaryngologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of ear and sinus diseases, hopes to provide treatment for those suffering from chronic sinusitis.

CRS is a condition that causes the sinuses to swell for at least three consecutive months. It can cause congestion, facial pressure, pain, discharge of mucus and decreased sense of smell.

Light ENT’s clinical research studies help physicians determine safe and effective medical treatments for patients. The ENLIGHTEN I study will explore whether the product under study is safe and effective in improving CRS symptoms. The product under investigation is LYR-210, a small mesh that fits into the nasal passages and reduces swelling.

Individuals interested in participating in the Phase 3 clinical research study must have chronic sinusitis and have been shown to have failed to respond to at least two other CRS treatments. Other requirements apply.
